Diego Poyet
All went horribly wrong for him, soon after joining WHU. Loan spells at MK Dons and Charlton didn't exactly produce dividends.

Wouldn't be surprised if he turns up at somewhere random like, ummm, Real Betis perhaps?

Re: Diego Poyet
Asked a Charlton mate about Poyet and he said they were all angry at him leaving to join us cause he was making excellent progress there and chased the money and a quick route to the premiership.

Apparently on his return on loan this year he hasn't been great although he said that in part is probably being down to the shocking way the club is being run and incredibly poor management and a shockingly shite team. He also says Oxford turned down the loan there and didn't want to drop down to the Championship rather than Charlton turning him down as was reported.

Shame, I quite like what I heard about him on arriving.

Re: Diego Poyet
Hopefully he'll find his way. Neither MK or Charlton were a good place for anyone last year

Re: Diego Poyet
Not a Premier League standard footballer.
I can't understand why we acquired him in the first place.

Championship or lower Prem squad player...

Had a few OK games for us but we have much better now...

Re: Diego Poyet
I think his level will end being the lower leagues from what I've seen and heard about him.

Nice lad by all accounts - hope he has a decent career.

Always struck me as a footballer with talent but not dynamic enough , strange as his dad was box to box all action

Has he left West Ham ?

Re: Diego Poyet
He looked okay in the EL last season and I assume he will be involved in preseason with us again.

Shame that his loans didn't work out but he lucked our at MK and Charlton. I don't think that them not playing him means too much, I mean Pardew didn't fancy Mascarano!

Could still come good but a lot ahead of him but still young.

Re: Diego Poyet
Maybe he'll get a run-out in early rounds of the Europa League. If he hasn't already left.

Well he's off to Seattle with the rest of the first team squad, so maybe not finished quite yet.

Re: Diego Poyet
Hope he's given a chance. If obiang is off (which would be a kick in the nuts as many of us clearly rate him more than bilic) he could at least step in as understudy for the DM role.
